The new archaeological discoveries near the Vălcani village (Timiș County) revealed in the „La Pruni” point the existence of an archaeological site – settlement, possibly even a necropolis. The archaeological material consists of common pottery (of La Téne tradition and of provincial-roman tradition), luxury pottery of the terra sigillata type, household items and clothing accessories – beads, with the majority of them being dates to the IInd to Vth centuries AD. The primary analysis of the material indicates the existence of a multi-stratified site, a continuous inhabitance of the area, which ceases through abandon and not through a violent way.
