Semantismul verbelor de percepție în limba latină. Studiu de caz: sentio, -ire, sensi, sensum

Abstract: 

The semantic career of verbs of perception always leads to Latin and to the meaning of „realize, observe, understand; think, judge, know”, the cognitive component holding a privileged place in their semantics. The paper aims the becoming of the Latin verb that designates the action of encompassing reality with the help of senses, sentiō, -īre, sēnsī, -sum. Gradually established, the semantic architecture of the lexema underlying this research privileges every time the feelings, thus giving it a certain personal dose and a comprehensive character. Moreover, stimulated by the creative tension, in the mix, the tangible reality is interlaced with a very high and abstract reality, thus being able to acquire meaning meant to stir up consciousness.
